The marketplace built for makers, not mass production. Juried shops, flat pricing, no algorithm.
Challenge
Big marketplace platforms leave small makers invisible: they compete with dropshippers, pay per-listing and per-sale fees, and only get seen if they learn to game an algorithm or buy ads. TealyBlue set out to give genuine artisans a simple, honest place to sell, whether to the whole country or just to their neighbors.
Approach
Designed the brand around a hand-lettered TB tag and a teal-to-blue gradient, then built a full marketplace platform: a juried application flow so only real makers get in, one flat monthly fee with no commissions, a dedicated public link for every shop at tealyblue.com/yourshop, and discovery by location, craft, or direct link. Search results are shown in random order on purpose, so no shop can buy a top spot. A read-only demo shop shows makers what their storefront could look like before they apply.
Outcome
Live at tealyblue.com with the waitlist open, the demo shop and shop directory online, and makers onboarding ahead of public launch.

Visual Design
- Logo & Brand Identity: Hand-lettered TB tag mark with app-icon variants, a teal, blue, and lime palette, and a clean sans type system that lets makers' own product photography lead. (Brand Identity, Logo Design, Color Theory, Typography)
Website Design
- Marketplace Platform: Marketing site, waitlist, and maker onboarding for a curated marketplace with juried approval, flat-fee membership, and location, craft, and direct-link discovery. (React, Web Development, UI/UX Design, Responsive Design, E-commerce)
- Maker Storefronts: Each approved shop gets its own branded storefront with products, policies, inquiries, and a cart, previewed here in the read-only demo shop with Standard and Premium membership views. (Product Design, E-commerce, UI/UX Design, Storefront Templates)
